Hypocrisy to the fore as protesters persecuted:

Isn't this the sort of thing one should expect only in an autocratic state or a banana republic, not in a good democracy like Australia?
Just goes to show the power and influence capitalists have on the state to protect their vested interests over all else, including citizens' civil rights and liberty, even in a democracy."
