The visit follows a phone call between Minister Peiris and Minister O'Neil early last week and coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Australia.

Dodd also points out that interstellar space is a "high-radiation environment that no spacecraft have flown in before," so a few strange events that take some time to explain should come as no surprise.
