We might be Green Left but we also don't like retired Western Admirals being paid too much - by foreign governments with a history of hostility to the Democratic (though flawed) West.
The former Rear Admiral's speeches have been notable about the vast areas of Huawei activities that he appears ignorant of and won't inform the public about. Hopefully people with former access to some of a Western navies biggest secrets are equally uninformative towards their new masters - all of whom must be from China according to the laws of the nondemocratic, jobs for the boys, Chinese Communist Party.
